The iconic Malvern Hills, recognised as a National Landscape, provide a magnificent backdrop to the charming Victorian town of Great Malvern. This thriving spa town is home to a striking 11th-century Priory at its heart, as well as the recently refurbished Malvern Theatre complex, one of the fastest-growing theatres in Europe, which will soon feature a new amphitheatre. Great Malvern also boasts the Three Counties Showground, an ever-expanding venue hosting a wide range of events throughout the year. The renowned RHS Spring Flower Show is now second only to Chelsea in prestige.
Just outside Great Malvern, in Malvern Link, visitors can explore the Morgan Motor Company factory and museum. The factory tour is a must-see experience and can be booked online. Afternoon tea is available on site at the Faun Café, well known locally for its excellent coffee and cakes.
For those wishing to explore further afield, the stunningly scenic drive to the delightful market town of Ledbury is highly recommended, as is a visit to Tewkesbury to admire its magnificent Abbey. Upton-upon-Severn is a charming riverside town offering several waterside pubs and a pleasant walk along the River Severn.
The nearby city of Worcester is home to a beautiful cathedral steeped in history. The Worcester Pottery Museum celebrates the city’s rich ceramic heritage, while the River Severn provides a lovely riverside walk passing the historic Worcester Cricket Ground.
